Birth Order Research
As I grew up, I noticed some traits that I have. Having the strong powers of concentration, being conscientious and self-reliant are some of the positive traits that I've always had. On the other hand, being in-control, reliable, and stubborn are the negative traits that I have. These are the traits that built me as a person. Being a first-born child can both be a good and a bad thing.
One reason that being a first child’s a good thing is I noticed that I have the strong powers of concentration. For example, when I am working on something, I really get into my work. Although sometimes I get distracted, I try my best to get back on track. This is important because if I don't get back on track, everything can be messed up. Furthermore, another example of my positive trait is I am conscientious. Whenever I see that my work was not done really well, I do it all over again if I have time. Being a first child is a wonderful thing.
On the other hand, an example of my negative trait is I like being in-control. My brothers are younger than me and they can still get out of control. When my parents are away, I’m in control because I don’t want anything bad to happen while they’re away. Furthermore, I can be stubborn. Sometimes, I make mistakes and things can turn out wrong. This usually happens when I don't watch out for my brothers when I am told to. Every time this happens I end up being in the wrong, thinking that since I am older, I know better.
Being a first-born child can be a good and bad thing like being reliable. For example, my parents rely on me with my brothers. That's a good thing for me because they trust me with my brothers. Although when something bad happens, I am the one responsible for it. Furthermore, I learned how to be self-reliant because I know that I’m not the only child and my parents are not always going to be there when I need something. This is important because in the future I also need to learn how to be independent. This can be a bad thing because I had to learn how to be independent early. I like being a first-born child because it gives me a sense of being trustworthy and having a good sense to deal with things responsibly.
I am lucky being a first child because I get to know more things earlier. I can be stubborn, in-control, reliable, self reliant, conscientious, and I can have the strong powers of concentration, but it's the way I grew up. I think that this research was accurate because the traits that were said described my personality. Being the first child made me realize that I could help my brothers do the right thing even if my parents are not around. It’s a wonderful thing that I was given the opportunity to be the oldest.
